Vacation Plans with the "Mouse"

We are counting down the days until our vacation....we are visiting the "House of the Mouse"! in Florida. That would be Disney World! 

We are so looking forward to a "get-a-way" and days in the warmth and sunshine. The cloudy days here take away your energy for sure!

We are flying to Florida, no more driving that far for us. The flight is non-stop and so fast. The only way to go!!

We always do all 4 parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. We have our favorite rides and shows in each park, but we spend the most time in Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom!  Not only do we love all the parks, their rides and shows, but love the sit-down dining that is offered in all the parks. Each of the parks we have our favorite dining places...but do sometimes try to branch out and try a new place.

Because there are SO MANY dining places. We decided to try a new one, one that people rave about, it's the Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Lands of EPCOT (Canada to be exact)  It's described "Descend into the cozy cellar of a Canadian château"!!  Will give our review of it when we get home.

Thanksgiving and Christmas seemed to go by in a flurry! I can hardly remember the weeks between the two holidays and Christmas Eve and Day went by in a blur of activities. But all were wonderful.

I have to feature two of my Christmas gifts from Wayne:

• First the Dutch whisks...love them, they work so well, I highly recommend!! Love how easy to clean and the tapered wood handles.

• The second one is my new cue stick! We bought a pool table before Christmas and I now have a fancy "Pro Sniper" cue stick to help with those trick (winning) shots!! 

  

In the photo below  ..in the middle is a photo of one of our family Christmas Eve games..."The Saran Wrap Ball"! We play it every year. I make it large and we have such fun with it. All kinds of prizes, toys, $$, and misc. are wrapped up in many, many, many layers of saran wrap(Like 9 boxes of Saran Wrap are used!)  We pass it around in a circle as it is unwrapped! Our granddaughters LOVE IT!! One rule, if you unwrap an items that is wearable, you must wear it the remainder of the game!

Well I'm now back to blogging!

update: I started this re-vamp of my blog

I was creating a new blog on a new site, but when I was notified of a huge price increase. I deleted all that I was creating and went back to an old blog site I had from years back.  I started anew and with much updating thIS is the new blog and my new site.

If you notice under the heading are links to my recipes and book/movie reviews and our cats! I have many to add to all 3 places. That will be coming this month and next.

Fall has definitly arrive in the mid-west here! Cooler temps (some days cold!) and beautiful leaves on the trees of many hues. Leaves are also beginning to fall, so at peak color I believe.

I have a few decorations for Fall in my house. 

Below is what I have in various places of our living room and kitchen area.

The table this harvest gnome is sitting on is a refinished table of one of my grandmothers. As a little child I would pretend it was a zoo and put my stuffed animals inside..like a cage. I love this table!

In our state in the mid-west...fall has arrived! Really our fall has been beautiful with warm temps and sunshine, but now the temps are falling and it feals like autumn time!

Well I have changed my blog site, back to a blog I had some years ago, still free and not a yearly cost. 

So this is my updated blog, I have my recipe section, a link above the posts. I will be adding my favorite books along with reviews. Also on the right is the list of blogs I follow.
